It is a condition of enrolment that students at Marist College Canberra who wish to compete in a sport offered by the College, must play for a Marist College team. In accordance with this policy, Marist boys who wish to play football must register and play for Marist Football.
The only exception to this requirement is for students who wish to participate in the National Premier League (NPL), the Capital Premier League (CPL) or the Under 13 Skills Acquisition Program (SAP). This is because Marist Football does not enter teams in these competitions, and instead participates in the community league. Students who wish to obtain an exemption from playing for Marist Football are required to submit an annual request to the College’s Head of Sport by completing a Football Exemption Form.
Please note that there is no exemption available to students who wish to play for a different club in the community league (MiniRoos, Junior League or Senior League). This includes Under 10 to Under 12 Pathway, SAP or Development teams.
