Marist College safety incident form
Any serious injury sustained by a player at training or matches must be reported to Marist College via the online reporting tool. The report can only be made by a coach, manager or club official. Player and parents are not able to lodge injury reports.
Marist College student care insurance
Players who experience a serious injury as a result of participation in a College sanctioned activity are covered by the Student Care Insurance policy which Marist College Canberra holds with Catholic Church Insurances (CCI).
It is important to note that the CCI policy is limited in its coverage and does not cover minor injuries, the Medicare gap or any cost subject to a Medicare rebate. Given this, it is recommended that families consider maintaining a private health insurance policy.
Any parent or guardian who is interested in making an insurance claim should contact sport@mcc.act.edu.au for further information. It is important to note that an insurance claim can only be made after the coach or manager has submitted an incident report to the College.
Capital Football player insurance
Capital Football also provides limited insurance coverage; however parents will need to pursue a claim under this policy independently.
