Training

All players are required to attend weekly training sessions unless they are sick or have arranged, in advance, to be absent with their coach. Attending training allows players to improve skills and build fitness. It’s an important part of the Marist spirit and a sign of respect to the other players in the team, and the volunteer coach.

Training is held once per week for lower division teams and twice per week for higher division teams.

Training is either straight after school at Marist or Melrose Synthetic, or later under light at Phillip Oval (usually older players).

There are no set training days or times for each age group. Training times are set by the volunteer coach once they have been appointed in mid-March of every year.
