About Us
The Marist Canberra Football Club (MCFC) is a thriving winter sports club that participates in the Capital Football Junior League and MiniRoos competition.
Membership of the MCFC is open to all students of Marist College Canberra. We have approximately 350 players in 25 teams, across both the junior and senior school.
We aim to be the sporting club of choice for boys at Marist College Canberra.
Club values
The MCFC is a values based club which provides an opportunity for all boys and their families to be involved, regardless of skills or knowledge.
Being part of the MCFC is about more than just football – it’s about the Marist community, mateship, leadership and resilience.
A club of volunteers
The MCFC is run by a dedicated Committee which includes parent volunteers and the Master in Charge of Football (teacher).
We cannot operate without the assistance of parents and other family members to volunteer as coaches and managers. Support and training is provided.
In addition, all families are required to assist during the season with small jobs including canteen duty and setting up/packing up fields.
It is important to the MCFC’s health that new volunteers join the Committee each year. This not only lightens the load but builds depth and experience so the management of the club can be passed on as older members of the Committee graduate along with their boys.
